"Escaping to Spring — as early as February — is one of the joys of living in Utah. The Beaver Dam Wash area is about as far south in Utah as you can go, ending up in a small corner of the Mojave Desert. The Joshua Trees are more than a little exotic. Early season camping does involve long nights, but that's when a nice tent is handy."
